Katya Siemoneit, AIA

Architect

Ekaterina (Katya) Siemoneit initially joined JRJ as a Job Captain, but in June 2023, officially became a licensed Architect.  Katya received her Bachelor’s of Architecture in Moscow, Russia, studied Interior Design in Milan, Italy, and received her Master’s of Architecture from Boston Architectural College, where she also co-taught a course in Sustainable Systems.  This world traveler most recently lived and worked in Alaska as an Architectural Designer utilizing her skills in Revit, construction documentation, consultant coordination and pre-design research.  As an AIA professional, Katya adds to the JRJ team with an enhanced worldview of design.

Outside of the office, Katya is a member of the Immigrant Architects Coalition and a contributing author to the recently published City Shapers: Stories of Immigrant Designers.  She was also a third place finisher in the 2020-2021 ACSA/AISC Steel Design Student Competition Category II.  Katya’s winning design was published in Modern Steel Construction magazine, November 2021 issue.
