The Plaza’s interior design elements closely follow Providence’s well-established material standards reflecting their strong Pacific Northwest brand. Using these standard-approved finishes, the design team focused on the selection and placement of materials to create meaningful transitions to help identify the various patient zones such as check-in areas, waiting rooms, and circulation. In addition, a custom wood slat ceiling pattern was designed and implemented to create texture and visual interest. This unique design feature was installed at the main entry and carried throughout at each individual clinic waiting area. This same linear wood element was also pulled down the face of each elevator elevation to distinguish the main circulation and create consistent wayfinding.
